To our customers and the Pacific Coast Fruit Company Team

We are sending out this announcement in response to the Voluntary Recall Notice for Red Leaf Lettuce, Green Leaf Lettuce and Cauliflower issued by Adam Bros. Farming of Santa Maria, California. None of the recalled product has tested positive for E. Coli 0157:H7 and NO ILLNESSES have been reported.  The product is being recalled for potential contamination of E. Coli 0157:H7.

Out of an abundance of caution Pacific Coast Fruit Company is voluntarily withdrawing the following Adam’s Bros. Farming Harvested from November 28,2018 to November 30, 2018 from the market.  If you have any remaining product in your place of business, please isolate the product.  A Pacific Coast Fruit Company representative will be contacting you to give you instructions regarding disposing of the product or contact Pacific Coast Fruit Company at 503-234-6411 and ask for Customer Service.  We will provide additional information and monitor this situation closely for further developments

Adam Bros. Farming, Inc. of Santa Maria, California is recalling red leaf lettuce, green leaf lettuce and cauliflower harvested on November 27 through 30, 2018 out of an abundance of caution, because it may be contaminated with Escherichia coli O157:H7 bacteria (E. Coli O157:H7).

The recall involves produce harvested between November 27, 2018 and November 30, 2018, grown in particular fields.

It does not involve all of Adam Bros. Farming, Inc.’s products.

Cauliflower was distributed to wholesalers in AZ, CA, IL, LA, MD, NC, NJ, NY, OH, PA.

Tijuana, Mexico, and Canada; red and green leaf lettuce was distributed to wholesalers in CA, CO, OR, TX, PA, WA, and Canada; red leaf lettuce only was distributed to a wholesaler in MN, and Tijuana, Mexico.

ADAM BROS. FARMING, INC. RECALLS RED AND GREEN LEAF LETTUCE AND CAULIFLOWER BECAUSE OF A POSSIBLE HEALTH RISK

Adam Bros. Farming, Inc. of Santa Maria, California is recalling red leaf lettuce, green leaf lettuce and cauliflower harvested on November 27 through 30, 2018 out of an abundance of caution, because it may be contaminated with Escherichia coli O157:H7 bacteria (E. Coli O157:H7).

None of the recalled product has tested positive for E. coli O157:H7.

No illnesses have been reported.

Adam Bros. Farming, Inc. feels a strong commitment to its customers and has worked for years to provide a safe and healthy food supply. Out of an abundance of caution, Adam Bros. Farming, Inc. is initiating this voluntary recall in cooperation with the FDA. The recall involves produce harvested between November 27, 2018 and November 30, 2018, grown in particular fields. It does not involve all of Adam Bros. Farming, Inc.’s products.

As of 12/13/2018 Adam Bros. Farming, Inc. has notified its effected customers of all product that was recalled, asking that the product not be eaten, sold, or transferred. Furthermore, Adam Bros. Farming, Inc. asked that its customers notify the downline chain of custody to insure a full recall.
