In 1976, Capay Organic family farm was started with 20 acres of star thistle. Inspired by the idea of farming sustainably, Kathy Barsotti and Martin Barnes started the family tradition that is carried on today. Their practices including healthy crop rotation, efficient use of local water sources, and careful selection of the best tasting and growing varieties to plant.
