Food Service update 2/19/2012
Hello Everyone,
As we plod along the Winter Produce Feilds, I do have a couple updates that may give you a light at the end of the tunnel. There are also some areas to keep a close eye on. Melons are very expensive right now and really don’t taste all that great. Another hot spot for us is bananas, they are coming in very immature and this is causing us some ripening issues. For the time being you may see some product that is greener than you would like it. I recommend that you order up on these if you are using them for breakfast or ripening for a dessert. So with that in mind I will take you through a few things.
